Faculty to Faculty is a video series created as a collaboration between The Schreyer Institute for Teaching Excellence and Penn State faculty. In these short videos, we asked faculty to share their pedagogical and/or technical strategies and lessons learned from transitioning to flexible instructional modes in accordance with Penn State's COVID-19 response.
In this video, Chris Harben, assistant teaching professor of Business & Management shares his experience in teaching online and the importance of "professional presence" when doing so through zoom as a way to enhance student engagement. To achieve that, Harben shares a few technical tips for a higher quality synchronous session.
