Since the Penn State Mont Alto portable planetarium is still on a COVID-19 hiatus, Kim Herrmann, associate professor of physics and astronomy, will offer three more virtual planetarium shows Wednesdays at 7:30 p.m.: Sept. 8, Oct. 27, and Nov 10. Some aspects that may be explored are well-known solar system objects, like our moon and the planets, as well as constellations, recognized patterns of stars that are frequently named for mythological figures in various cultures. Questions about the astronomical wonders in the sky, our solar system, and beyond will be welcomed. These events are free and open to the public.
