She spoke about the relevance of fraternities and sororities, the all-volunteer army, the importance of traveling to Africa, black men dating white women, and communication between men and women. Giovanni read several of her favorite poems, including "Revolutionary dreams, " "Communication, " "Butterflies, " and "All I Gotta Do."
