Faculty to Faculty is a video series created as a collaboration between The Schreyer Institute for Teaching Excellence and Penn State faculty. In these short videos, we asked faculty to share their pedagogical strategies and lessons learned from transitioning to remote teaching in accordance with Penn State's COVID-19 response.
In this video, Brad Sottile, a lecturer in the college of engineering talks about the reality of Zoom fatigue and the science behind it. He lists a few hacks he followed as he dealt with issues related to student engagement in online learning. And ends with observations on shifts related to the utilization of virtual office hours.
