Faculty to Faculty: Tried and True Teaching Strategies [Mechanical Engineering]

Faculty to Faculty is a video series created as a collaboration between The Schreyer Institute for Teaching Excellence and Penn State faculty. In these short videos, we asked faculty to share their pedagogical strategies and lessons learned from transitioning to remote teaching in accordance with Penn State's COVID-19 response.

Michael Alley, a teaching professor of Mechanical Engineering discusses strategies that he adopted to engage his students in a virtual teaching and learning environment. Michael shares how he used university resources to create bite-sized videos and online tools like Kahoot to revamp his teaching. He also shares why he wants to continue using these strategies post-pandemic.
